Only 80 kilometres from the hotel, Mount Kenya has the second highest peak in Africa after Mount Kilimanjaro. A visit to the Meru National Park will give you multiple views of the mountain.
Lewa Wildlife Conservancy
Apart from being home of the Lewa Marathon which attracts the best Kenyan and international athletes, it is also the home of the highest population of the black and white rhinos in Kenya. It also has the other Big Five animals; lions, leopards, elephants and buffalo. It is only 50 kilometers away from the hotel.
Curated and maintained by National Museums of Kenya, this 40-year-old museum celebrates the culture and traditional practices of the Meru people. The museum, housed in a 1916 converted colonial building, is only one kilometre from the hotel. It is a must visit for some traditional Meru dances and souvenir shopping from the curio shops.
